InstaForex Loprais team secures silver triumph at the Dakar Rally

09.02.2024 03:53 PM

The 46th season of the Dakar Rally will be remembered as one of the most intense in the history of the race. Despite the challenges, the InstaForex Loprais Team, proudly sponsored by us, overcame every obstacle and ultimately secured a spot on the podium!

This year's edition of the world's most extensive off-road raid was held in Saudi Arabia, known for its complex and unpredictable terrain featuring shifting sands, rocky riverbeds, and impassable canyons and cliffs. The race consisted of 12 stages, covering a total distance of about 8,000 kilometers.

In the truck category, known for being one of the most spectacular in the Dakar Rally, 47 crews battled for victory, including the InstaForex Loprais Team led by the Czech driver Ales Loprais. Alongside him in the legendary Praga V4S DKd truck were co-driver Jaroslav Valtr Jr. and mechanic Jiri Stross, who joined the team this year. Their unity was so strong that they quickly established themselves as top contenders from the start.

After securing second place in the prologue, the InstaForex Loprais Team dropped to fourth after the first stage. However, it only took them a day to climb back into the top 3, a position they maintained throughout the race.

Neither technical issues, which were particularly challenging this year, nor the difficulties of navigating the dusty Arabian deserts, nor the isolation from the outside world could break the spirit of the InstaForex Loprais Team.

Despite all these challenges, Ales Loprais and his team managed to clinch the silver medal. They finished second in the overall standings, conceding the top spot to their fellow Czech team led by Martin Macik.

Congratulations to the InstaForex Loprais Team on their brilliant performance at the Dakar Rally! We wish them more resounding victories in the future and look forward to conquering even greater heights together!
